Get out and about on the water with snorkelling equipment, kayaks for hire and a glass-bottom boat. Walk the 45-minute return trail to Australia’s No. 1 Beach 2018, Nudey Beach, or choose countless other trails to hike up, discovering new sights and local wildlife as you go. If you’re more into marine life, visit the Turtle Rehab Centre. Located on the island and run by volunteers, this centre does exceptional work for turtles who’ve encountered plights such as plastics, disease, incidents with boats and even crocodile attacks!
It doesn’t get better than this! Beautiful island, great resort, fab restaurant, amazing snorkeling. Had a great time at the Turtle Rehabilitation Centre with a really enthusiastic guide. Hotel rooms were fabulous—we will be back (tip: go to Bird Rock and swim out slightly to find turtles grazing on the sea bed).
