Things To Do

There’s plenty to do at Green Island Resort both during the day and after dusk! Head down to the Beach Hire Hut in the morning to rent a Kayak and set about exploring the island on your own or embark on a glass bottom boat tour in the ‘Coral Explorer’ if you’d prefer a guided trip. To get up close and personal with the creatures of the Great Barrier Reef, make use of the complimentary snorkelling available at the Dive Shop and wander just off the beach to explore the reefs. If you’d rather explore the land, there are plenty of self-guided eco walks you can try out or, at 3pm daily, you can join the resort’s Activities Officer to learn all about the history of the island and its flora and fauna as you wander along the boardwalk. There are night walks for those keen to spot nocturnal creatures, as well as sunset drinks, fish feeding on the jetty and star gazing, away from the bright city lights!

The resort is very beautiful. It is calm and quiet. For a family like us, it was the perfect holiday resort. There was boating, fishing, swimming—all kinds of entertainment available. We enjoyed all amenities there. Thanks—5 stars!
