Rydges Gladstone’s CBD location offers guests a convenient base to explore Gladstone’s incredible surrounding areas. There are so many things to see and do in and around Gladstone – from water-sports like stand up paddle-boarding, paragliding, wind surfing and jet-skis, to offshore island exploring. Staying at Rydges Gladstone provides access to Gladstone Harbour which offers guests snorkelling, swimming or have a go at fishing with some of the best seafood up for grabs. If you don’t want to get your hands dirty, why not visit Gladstone Seafood Markets.
There is of course the Southern Great Barrier Reef to explore. Guests can hop on a boat at the Gladstone Marina and enjoy a dreamy getaway to Heron Island or Lady Musgrave Island. You may even spot seabirds, manta rays, sea turtles and humpback whales when in season from July to November. Alternatively, head down south for a drive to Anges Waters and the world renowned 1770, which is known for its incredible natural beauty.
With many more local attractions to explore, including Gecko Winery, Toondoon Botanic Gardens, and Tannum Sands (with year round swimming), you will more likely run out of time than things to do.
