Sheraton Mirage Port Douglas Update:
The following changes are currently taking place:
We are excited to announce the end of phase one in the resort revitalisation with fresh new-look refurbished guest rooms now welcoming their first guests. As we remain open, making the resort an even better place for you to work, rest and play, we look forward to unveiling further enhancements of the iconic resort with completion of all guest rooms, lagoon swimming pool and public areas slated for June 2016.
The Following changes are currently taking place throughout the resort:
Main Lobby Complex Currently closed with changes including the reception desk temporarily repositioned adjacent to the main driveway. The Porte cochere has been reconfigured with driveway pick up and drop off areas limited.
Restaurants & Bars: Buffet breakfast served daily between 7am-10:30am, lunch and Dinner between 12pm-9pm from the ‘Glade Pavilion’.
Poolside lunch or dinner dining and beverages are available daily from 10am-8pm at the ‘Ocean Breeze Bar’.
In-room dining is also available 24 hours for in house guests.
Resort Rooms: At present 150 guest rooms are completed, welcoming all guests arriving to experience the newly transformed rooms. The remainder of guest rooms are slated for completion in April 2016.
Lagoon Pools: The resort features 2 hectares of saltwater lagoon pools and at this time we currently have 6 pools surrounding the North Wing and the freshwater pool in front of Ocean Breeze Bar temporarily drained due to revitalisation works.
Landscape: Landscaping surrounding South Wing are almost complete. North Wing including Gilligan’s Island, south lagoon, freshwater pool area and select public spaces have landscaping works continuing.
Mirage Country Club: Improvement works to the course continue with the commissioning of the resort irrigation system. The 3 tennis courts have been completed featuring new court surfaces. Works to the country club buildings is nearing the final design stages with works due to commence.
