Staying at the Sheraton Noosa Resort and Spa? Not only will you get to enjoy the sand and surf, but by jumping in the car and driving inland, you’ll soon find yourself in a different type of paradise. For something a little more active, check out one of the many Glass House Mountains. Mount Ngungun is a fantastic option for walkers/hikers of all levels and is just an hour’s drive south of Noosa.

The Gold Coast

Looking for a little more excitement? A little more glitz and glamour? Look no further – this is the place for you. An hour south of Brisbane, the Gold Coast is a city that’s all about fun. From Dreamworld to Wet’n’Wild, kids and those who are kids are heart will love spending time at the many theme parks in the area, while the risk-takers will enjoy having a flutter at the opulent Jupiters Hotel and Casino. Meanwhile, a sunny climate and brilliant surf means that all the beach-lovers are covered. What more could you want?

An immensely popular Queensland attraction, the Daintree Rainforest is a huge, World-Heritage listed eco-system that is populated with stunning flora and fascinating fauna. Visitors enjoy scenic, tranquil walks and hikes, endless photo opportunities, and the chance to truly be at one with nature. When it comes to accommodation, there are a number of options available, including hostels, lodges, hotels, beach houses, BnBs and retreats, so you’re bound to find something that suits your tastes and budgets. If you’re staying somewhere further out, such as the Sheraton Mirage Port Doulas Resort, enquire about day tours that explore the Daintree area.

Palm Cove

Nestled in the spectacular Queensland coastline, Palm Cove is a great place to enjoy swimming, snorkelling, picnics, superb restaurants and cafes, and shopping. It’s also an ideal base for day trips to nearby attractions such as the Great Barrier Reef, the Butterfly Sanctuary in Kuranda and the Cairns Tropical Zoo.
